Abraham seems to be back, complete with the same old plummy accent. (Publication date . 14/07/15) Same old (edited) tosh.

Great trick if you can do it. :yea

I see Gary's understanding of science hasn't improved since, when he was first exposed on the old UK Sceptics site, he quite seriously asked how bees could fly...

By the way, what happened to that huge, information-packed thread? I devoted many, many hours to researching his claims and it would be tragic if it's all vanished forever.

Wasn't that on one of Jon D's sites? It certainly hasn't been deleted from this forum. The only other thread on Mannion is the one Farside started................http://skeps.freeforums.org/viewtopic.p ... %20mannion

No, it certainly wasn't on BadPsychics. In fact, you got the ball rolling when you found a leaflet mentioning Gary at your local crystal/MBS shop. I could have sworn the saga unfolded on UK Sceptics.

Yes - I remember that first post. It was indeed on UKS which has been deleted - unless anyone knows anything different.
Don't blame me - I voted remain :con

Unfortunately, that long thread on UKS doesn't seem to be available anymore - though up until fairly recently you could still access it on the old forum, through here: http://www.critical-thinking.org.uk/blog/index.php

There was an even longer thread which ran simultaneously on the Spiritlove forum at the time (sadly also gone now). :( However, a little research shows us that death is not necessarily 'the end' ... Part of us lives on ... just in a different form. ;-) This link from the internet archive gives access to that Gary Mannion thread on Spiritlove as at 2009, very much alive at that time, with 1600 posts in said thread at the time.

You can also access later dates through that same link.

Look what I found!

This is what started it all off.

After some effort I've recovered some bits from the wayback engine including I think the reason why JJ couldn't be bothered to maintain the forum for posterity...

https://web.archive.org/web/20110901020 ... viewfull=1

Sigh...

Anyway here's a filtered version of what I found.

https://web.archive.org/web/20110606165 ... uot/page51

https://web.archive.org/web/20110606165 ... uot/page74

As you can see the wayback engine isn't really forum savvy and so the links and navigation etc don't work very well.

The forum itself has an archive view, the snapshots of this may provide similar information

Not sure where these fit in right now.

If you want to go through and see if I missed anything my method was to go here

https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://ww ... com/forum/*

..and filter by the topic id 1229

Brilliant work, Matt!

Perhaps the same can be achieved with the related Spiritlove thread linked above. I have tried but couldn't find how to bring up the actual pages. Anyway, I will put that on the back boiler for now, as I fear it's going to be a long and arduous task. Worth it in the end though.
Hooray for the Internet Wayback Machine!
