I really, really do not think so.

Yesterday I listened to my favourite Christmas song, 'I believe in Father Christmas' in honour of Greg Lake, whose death was announced this week. It would be nice if that one got back into the charts.

As soon as I heard he had died I predicted it would be the Christmas No1. It would be astonishing if there isn't a campaign and at least a top ten entry.

I always enjoy Paul Holt's attempt to get the Xmas No1 in 2004. "Fifty Grand for Christmas".

Holt was a failed X Factor contestant who ranted at Simon Cowell that he would be a star and get to number one. Cowell said he'd give him £50K if he got to No1 in the UK charts.

Holt released a single and the rest is history: It got to 34 and most people don't even remember it.

I don't know about Number One, but this is "trending", apparently. Lord Buckethead's "A Bucketful of Happiness".
