"Pedro", the llama.

Not a creature I would have expected to see in a skiing village in southern Austria. I hope he enjoyed the daytime temperatures of up to 36C more than I did. :ro

I wish I was a glow worm,
A glow worm's never glum.
'Cos how can you be grumpy
When the sun shines out your bum

At least you've added to your personal experience confirming that the earth is round.

Hmm... circular maybe but I'm not sure that sphericality has been proven.

One of the reasons that the ancient Greeks knew the earth was spherical was that they observed that the shadow the earth cast on the moon was always circular. Not other solid casts a circular shadow whatever it's orientation.

For myself the most convincing argument for the earth being round was the view from the top of Ben Nevis on a clear day. From that vantage the curvature of the earth is apparent to anyone with working eyes in their head.
