Actually, I'm not sure that there's such a thing as "British" English. The people of Newcastle don't speak it like the people of Glasgow, the people of Snowdonia don't speak English proper like what I do, etc. And I don't think that we all write it the same either, even if that is less varied than speach.

British English is the default for phpBB but to be fair, I don't think there is much difference in the wordings of the core phpBB base as it won't affect posts made in any other form of English, or any other language for that matter
