Chris Grayling, the new Chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee

Post by bindeweede »

Chris Grayling accidentally locks himself in broom cupboard on first day as Chairman of Intelligence Committee.
As Grayling excitedly arrived for his first day of meetings to discuss the release of the Russian interference intelligence report, he waved at everyone in the building before walking straight into a storage cupboard marked ‘cleaning supplies’ before slowly realising there was no handle on the inside.

At the time of writing, Grayling was still inside the cupboard and after being alone for ninety minutes was seriously considering eating his briefcase.

I hope he is secure, otherwise he would be totally unsuitable for the job.

As one commentator observed: "to lose a key vote for the chairmanship when you have carefully arranged for your party to have a majority on the committee is taking incompetence to a new level."

And to for the reaction to be to throw away that party's majority in a fit of pique...
Still, this other guy might not be a dimwit but he is a hard right brexiteer. I guess that means we're still not anticipating much in the way of a Russian Interference report.
