Very good. How close were you? I've taken loads of photos of herons over the years but they all come out as tiny little blobs in the middle of a great expanse of scenery.

About 10 feet away I guess - and I had the dog with me.
It's a fishing lake in a park in the middle of town only about 300 yds from where we live.
Maybe the heron has got used to people.

I visited the mount in 1991. I was taking part in a national sailing championship week at Mounts Bay Sailing Club and crews were invited to visit. Met the owner.
