Did anyone watch Line of Duty last night?
I don't watch much telly these days but that one got me right from the start.

(Decided on a new thread - damn the expense.)
Yes, I saw it, Gritty and gripping. I enjoyed the last series............but can't actually remember much about it.

Didn't see tonight's episode - attending a funeral just put me off. Will catch up in a day or two.
Re: "Line of Duty".
Excellent stuff but complicated. Kept having to live pause to discuss plot twists with OH. She's saying we'll watch it again today - this time before we go to the pub...

Re: "Line of Duty".
Caught up with episode two tonight. It is definitely getting more complicated, with the apparent suicide of the one I suspected was guilty of the murder of Danny. And referring back to series two, which was broadcast in February 2014, does not make things any easier for those of us with dodgy memories. :sh

I was hoping this might help but it doesn't.

What has the Keeley Hawes character got to do with anything? :sh

I can't help thinking that in real life firearms officers would wear body cameras. Of course if they did on the telly it would mean we wouldn't have a story.

Although there might be room for some subtlety - the camera only showing part of what was going on, for instance, leaving its interpretation ambiguous. After all, no end of still photos have had their apparent meaning completely altered by some judicious cropping.chaggle wrote:I can't help thinking that in real life firearms officers would wear body cameras. Heads-up!!
New series started last night and I missed it. Will catch-up and watch it after Broadchurch has finished - don't think I can cope with two running concurrently. :ro

I'll be catching up with it too, but the other police series I'm watching is the multinational The Team on More4.

Re: "Line of Duty".
I seem to be the only person in the UK watching "Person of Interest".
The wife is watching "Vera". Generally I can't be bothered with Cop shows anymore. All too similar, nothing original.
I can either work out whodunit or it's impossible to do so and stupid. Or it's all about magic forensics (this bone fragment tells us he was 6 feet tall and had ginger hair). Or it's nonstop fights with bullet dodging and suchlike silliness.

Re: "Line of Duty".
Person of Interest is one of our favourites, but they stopped showing it a year or two ago on any channel we get, and the DVD of the recent series is US-region only. I keep checking in case it becomes available.
Re: "Line of Duty".
I leave all that murder mystery malarkey to the Missus. I'm sure if the time comes for her to off me she'll be able to not only do so with exquisite panache, but also ingratiate herself with the inspectorate to help them to uncover a myriad of means motives and opportunities to to put any number of peripheral character in the frame. Just like that Jessica Lecter from Murder she Frequently Encountered.
