Sorry Ketchup, no. The answer to the question is not a number. CLUE - the question is as much language-based as mathematical. :geek:

Aha! ... I think I've got it now. Is it something to do with the fact that it consists of 20 numbers?

Not really, though you might be thinking along the right lines. The next number in the series would be 3

In which case that would make 21 numbers. I'm sure I have it now .... If the next number in the series would also be 3 and the next and the next and the next - right on up to 101 (?) - then yes, I've got it.

ETA: Actually .... no, there would be a few 2's at regular intervals before reaching the 101 ..... (just realised). Oh, and some regular 4's as well! But no higher than 4. Am I on the right track, Bindybobs?

{Afterthought} ... Yes, there is one 5, :ro

Just popped in to post this quickly - in between the ups and downs of Freeforums ...

So, the answer to this question
What do the following numerals represent?

11111121113122223222
is in the Spoiler, in case others might still be trying to work it out and I don't want to spoil their fun.
Spoiler:
Each number represents the number of syllables in each number counting up to 20

Spoiler:
It is also the amount of syllabubs I eat in the first 20 hours of the day (I go to bed at 20:00 [8pm] and wake at midnight with a overwhelming urge to eat syllabub).
It's a vicious cycle, I have gone MDA (Milk Desserts Anonymous) but they can't help me.
